Let’s just say hats off to Jessica Alba and her brilliant earth focused idea to create The Honest Company. She has always been the beautiful lifestyle face of the brand and co-founded the now worth $1 billion dollars non-toxic products startup. Alba started the company out of frustration for chemical testing regulations.
Jessica even went to visit Washington D.C. on this matter more than once when she first started her company to lobby for an overhaul to the 1976 Toxic Substances Control Act allowing for 80,000 chemicals to remain in household products without testing… Thanks Jessica for all your efforts and hard work which is paying off.
Not stopping, Jessica now wants to teach the world how to clean the honest way… #CleanLikeJess #OnBeat
Today, The Honest Company is a massive success, with 120 products and $150 million in revenues three years in, Alba and her team have decided the time is right to exert their influence on chemical testing by directly funding research rather than knocking on doors in D.C.
Honest will spend $3 million on social impact initiatives in 2015, with some of that money going towards sponsorship of a laboratory at New York’s renowned Mount Sinai Hospital.
Can’t wait to see all the good The Honest Company will do and continue to buy their products… It’s cute and honest of course.
Congrats to Jess!
