“Ella the Elephant” is a new charming and whimsical animated preschool series based on the award-winning Ella the Elegant Elephant book series created and illustrated by Carmela D’Amico and Steve D’Amico. The series follows the adventures of Ella and her friends on Elephant Island. Ella is a spirited little girl elephant with a big heart, bigger imagination and a magic hat that can transform into almost anything. Everyday, there’s a fantastic new adventure as Ella and her friends, Frankie, Belinda and Tiki, get themselves into some tricky situations. With a little determination, teamwork, a few missteps, and a touch of magic, Ella and her friends work to make everything work out in the end.
In the premiere episode, “Ella’s Got Talent,” airing on February 17 at 7:00 a.m. ET/ PT, it is time for the school’s big talent show and everyone’s got a special act to perform…except Ella. With the encouragement of her friends she tries playing music, singing, dancing, even puppetry…but nothing fits her talents. Then, Mrs. Briggs asks Ella to come up with some clever introductions for each act and Ella delivers. Ella offers to be the stage manager until Mrs. Briggs gets laryngitis and asks Ella to also be the Master of Ceremonies.
Uncertain, Ella steps into the spotlight and transforms the show into a spectacular event! Ella is also chosen to be the safety sheriff on the playground. She gets to wear a shiny badge and enforce the playground rules. At recess she learns that it’s a pretty big responsibility keeping the playground safe especially when nobody listens to her. When a peer gets hurt on the playground, Ella comes up with a plan to keep everyone safe. The series stars the voices of Addison Holley (Ella), Annick Obonsawin (Belinda), Avery Kadish (Tiki) and Devan Cohen (Frankie).
