According to an article published by The Washington Post titled “Mediterranean diet has many health benefits, and may help control kids’ weight,” children who are on a Mediterranean diet have a lower risk of obesity. In a study conducted in eight European countries, children ages 2-9 who were on a Mediterranean diet were 15% less likely to be overweight or obese than those who were not on a Mediterranean diet.
