The world is set to watch Blue Ivy’s momma Queen Beyonce take the stage for the 2014 MTV VMAs. However, we have to address the hard parenting choices “is it okay” for Blue Ivy and other kids to watch MTV’s Video Music Awards? Well, the jury is still out on this one and here are some TV parental guideline tips to help decide what your family should watch.
Parenting Choices
As parents we must make some hard decisions and sometimes they may not be what kids want but in their best interest. We live in a pop culture and MTV VMAs represent the biggest names and brands in the music business. However, the performances during the VMAs are known to be very sexually forward and can be unsuitable to watch for young audiences.
Decide which artists you think will be appropriate for your child’s maturity level to watch. For example many parents view artists like Beyonce and Taylor Swift okay for kids to watch. Where as some other artists performing many not be suitable for kids to watch.
CharmPosh.com editors rate this year’s 2014 MTV VMAs a C+ for kids to watch. In part some artists will be suitable to watch for kids. However, we are not giving a green light to allow kids to watch the entire show.
